OUR CLIENTSWe manage money for institutions such as foundations, endowments, religious, and other organizations as well as for individual investors, trusts, and families in both taxable and non-taxable forms. Many of our accounts have all-equity benchmarks although we also manage balanced accounts. We have about 110 primary client relationships ranging in size from $1 million to $18 million. We believe the median investment manager has persistently trailed appropriate benchmarks by taking excessive risks more commensurate with its incentives rather than the clients’ objectives. The vast majority of our new business has come from continuing referrals from our clients. The close relationships we enjoy with our clients often stems from the extra dimension we bring by understanding their ethical values and concerns, not just their risk tolerance and investment objectives. We hope to attract more clients of all kinds, particularly progressive institutions that have been so badly misled and mistreated by the professional investment community and are so well suited to our approach. |
